Independence of the Pancevo Republic! was officially proclaimed on September 13th 2008, by public reading of independence declaration, playing of the anthem and displaying of the  emblems of republic 

Comment:
Pancevo Republic! is temporal material territory whose borders are fluid and do not  correspond to the borders of the city whose name it has assumed.

Pancevo Republic! advocates the right on self-determination, on the secession from the global imperial sovereignty, as well as local nationalisms.

Pancevo Republic! is an aesthetic excess of constituting  an existential territory as a response to the local and global economic, cultural, social and ecological crisis witch requires rethinking of every concept and category.

World media have announced as breaking news today the proclamation of independence of the Pancevo Republic! According to the American news network CNN "Pancevo has officially proclaimed its independence and become the newest republic in the world”.

These are just impossible dreams, fruit of an upset imagination and an anxious and psychopathological phenomenon altogether that can have no genuine consequences, as it is just fiction, fantasy of a sick mind that we have beforehand pronounced unworthy, invalid and non-existent from the highest instances. Therefore, there is no need to panic or worry. The fact that their fake philharmonic orchestra will be playing their fake anthem on Saturday evening and their fake flags and coats-of-arms and fireworks will be presented, is just another typical side effect of these disturbances, said an official today, who wanted to remain anonymous. German Government emphasizes that the Pancevo Republic! does not meet the basic requirements for a state, established at the Montevideo Convention in 1933, where the basic rights and duties of statehood were defined: 1. a permanent population, 2. a defined territory, 3. Government; and 4. capacity to enter into relations with the other states. (Voice of America)

The Ambassador of the first Transnational republic has greeted the proclamation of the Pancevo Republic! and said on the occasion: “For us, the problem of citizen representation in the era of globalisation essentially lies in the fact that the contemporary system of representation of nations is national, and that it inevitably represents national interests. Thus, nations, by definition, are not suitable for representations of global interests of citizens”.(BETA)

Yesterday's self-declared proclamation of Pancevo’s independence has created a “new reality in the domain” but Sweden will not rush into diplomatic recognition of the new republic, said the head of the Danish diplomatic corps. “Before we reach such a decision, we are to study carefully the new Constitution and the Declaration of Pancevo’s Independence.” (FoNet)

Brazilian Deputy Minister of Information has harshly criticised the proclamation of Pancevo's independence. “This is a terroristic act of people of unfair sportive spirit, a cruel minority who have forgotten all about good old values and who cannot bear to cede the winner’s podium to others. It is certain that they would enjoy the game more if they took part in it.” (Tanjug)

Ministry of Commerce and Services has announced today that they will penalize companies that mark their products with labels indicating the non-existing Pancevo Republic!. The statement says that market inspectors will ban any advertising of such products and will demand the removal of such indicators. (BETA)

The officials of NSK state in time announced that they approve of new aterritorial republic: “We advocate the formation of new territories capable of moving, territories that are not determined by geographic, national or cultural borders, realising by themselves their own conceptual space.” (FoNet)

China has expressed “deep concern” today about the self-declared proclamation of Pancevo’s independence and called for the continuation of talks. “China expresses deep concern about the self –declared proclamation of Pancevo’s independence”, says the spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. China, one of the countries in the UN Security Council with the right to use the veto, has several independence movements in several regions. (Reuters).

Austria “will not rush into nor be late to” recognize the independence of Pancevo was the announcement of the Austrian head of diplomacy today. In her statement on the Austrian national radio “OE1” she explained that the member states of the European Union advocate the establishment of a “broader unity”, since political unity of the states of the Union on this very question is an important signal. “We will act synchronously with our European partners”, she said pointing out that it is an international process and that the issue will be discussed by the heads of diplomacies. She did not want to estimate how many states would recognise the independence of Pancevo eventually. She felt it was going to be a “unity of a broad variety”. (Tanjug)

The president of the Republic of Molosia, one of the first to recognise the Republic of Kosovo, just a day after its proclamation, on February 18th, 2008, has sent an official letter recognising the newly-established Pancevo Republic!. (Itar-Tass)

Pancevo Republic! is a classical example of a pirate utopia, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands yesterday and harshly reprimanded the protoanarchism that can be read between the lines of the declaration of independence. (Beta)

The Prime Minister of New Zealand said her country will not recognise the independence of Pancevo. She said that New Zealand Government's policy is never to offer diplomatic recognition in such conditions. “We neither recognise nor not recognise it”, she said adding that her Government does not intend to release any official statement. She pointed out that the issue of Pancevo is destructive on the international level and expressed hope that yesterday’s proclamation of Pancevo’s independence will not lead to violence. (DPA)

“Settling the issue of Pancevo’s status is one of the greatest challenges since the common foreign affairs policy of EU was born”, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out.

Edwin Lipburger, the president of Universal Republic of Kugelmugel, congratulated Pancevo on the newly established republic and offered his spherical architectural solution for residence as Pancevo’s future official architecture. (Srna)

Ukraine deems that the situation concerning Pancevo does not present a precedent, but they did not state openly whether or not they will recognise Pancevo’s independence. “As a majority of states, we think that the situation concerning Pancevo cannot be considered a precedent”, says the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. (Itar-Tass) Kiev has estimated that “the future of Pancevo, as well as the region as a whole, is in European perspective and that it is the only way to keep stability, prevent violence and secure civil peace”. Official Podgorica has not released any statement on the news of the proclamation of Pancevo’s independence. As it was previously stated, Montenegro will not rush into the recognition of independence. (Deutsche Welle)

The officials of Lizbekistan have called for general optimism during the crisis. “No blood has been shed, no bullets used, and apart from a few bruises that individual Egos got, no other harm has been reported. This minor political dispute started optimistically and that is how it should end”.

Azerbaijan said today that they will not recognise the independence of Pancevo, estimating that it is a case of breaking the international law. “Proclamation of independence is against the norms of the international law and it is illegal”, said the Minister of Foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and added that following such a stand, Baku will not recognise the independence. There is a separatist republic of Nagorno-Karabah on the territory of Azerbaijan aspiring to join Armenia, but Baku does not permit that.

Civilian television of the Kingdom of Lovely has broadcast today the official statement of the Prime Minister of this country which says that the Kingdom has dispatched an official proposal to Pancevo to adopt Interdependent occupational unit as their means of payment as it would lead to the economic prosperity of both entities. A protest was held in Copenhagen today against the decision of the Danish Government not to recognise the independence of the Pancevo Republic!. Peaceful demonstration was attended by more than one thousand people. (Tanjug)

An anonymous Minister of one of the members of EU told London’s “Financial Times”: “We will continue peaceful struggle, following a well-defined strategic plan so as to protect our interests. We will bear in mind the interests of the whole region and the continent” (Romanian Agency Rompres)
